Introduction


Arducam Ethernet Cable Extension Solution is a cable extension kit that converts high speed MIPI CSI-2 interface into LAN connection so you can put a Raspberry Pi camera up to 15 meters away from your Raspberry Pi.

The kit works out of the box with any of the following cameras:

  • Official camera module V1/V2/HQ
  • Raspberry Pi Official Camera Module 3
  • Arducam OV5647/IMX219/IMX477 Series
  • Arducam 16MP IMX519 Series
  • Arducam 64MP Series

Hardware

  • Step 1. Connect the Rx board to your Raspberry Pi

  • Step 2. Connect the Tx board to your Camera

  • Step 3. Connect the two board with the LAN Cable

Abstract

We have adapted the Ethernet extension kit based on the basic firmware of cameras, you don't need to perform complex and cumbersome operations, you only need to refer to the original operation methods and instructions of the original cameras.

Abstract

Extend the connection between the Arducam Camarray HAT and Raspberry Pi, you can consider the following solution:

It transmits MIPI signal through LAN cable, which can be transmitted farther than through FFC cable, about 10M.

Extension-Multi-3

In this form, we have tried 3 meter of LAN cable before, and it works normally. The HDMI cable should be longer.
